Wally de Backer, otherwise known as Gotye who has attracted a helluva lot of attention around Australia especially via his live show also features in Melbourne band The Basics. The band released their debut album Get Back in 2002 to three family members and a travelling sales man such was the anonymity of the band.

However with Gotye's success the band have identified that there is a buck to be made and as such they have shined Get Back up and will re-issue it at the start of August. The band will accompany the re-issue with some live dates down the east coast of Australia throughout August.
