ABC Music has today announced Angie Hart's signing to the Label. Hart's debut solo album is called Grounded Bird and it’s to be released in Australia on ABC Music on September 22nd. “We are thrilled that Angie Hart has joined the ABC Music roster”, says Robert Patterson, Head of ABC Music. “Angie is a phenomenal talent and a unique artist and her music represents an exciting new direction for the label." The album has been produced by Justyn Pilbrow – the guitarist in New Zealand band Elemeno P – the album features co-writes with like minded musical souls such as Pilbrow, Ben Lee, Dan Luscombe (The Drones), Craig Ross (Texan producer/writer with Patty Griffin, Daniel Johnston, Spoon and others). Hart says of the album: “It’s pretty raw and simplistic, this record,” and will be touring nationally this coming October to support her album Grounded Bird, capturing the essence of the album with a full live band of Melbourne music luminaries.
