Days before they set off for a UK tour with Foals, Cut Off Your Hands put ink to paper in the London offices of the legendary 679 Records. Home to The Streets, The Futureheads, DFA 1979, The Polyphonic Spree, Secret Machines and Mystery Jets the signing is certainly a boon for the New Zealand band that have been turning heads worldwide. Before heading into the studio this November to start tracking their debut album, COYH have got some serious shows to play. Booked for a series of stages at this years CMJ Festival - notably the Fader Magazine and French Kiss showcases - the band also have the Icelandic Airwaves Festival to play, as well as a round of solo UK dates in support of their debut UK single (Still Fond/ Closed Eyes) on 7" pioneers Fandango. www.myspace.com/cutoffyourhands |
