Blitzen Trapper make the term genre seem dated. Bouncing from San Francisco-inspired jam band folk, experimental noise rock and harmony laced country, Wild Mountain Nation cannot be easily summarised and, like any good release, much of it challenges the listener. While the diversity and musicianship of the band is evident on every inch of this recording, it is often in the live realm where bands as multifarious as Blitzen Trapper make their name. And with this in mind we decided to highlight some selections from their latest record.
